(BEIJING, August 10) -- In the Men's 4x100m Freestyle Relay prelims, the US quartet of Nathan Adrian, Cullen Jones, Ben Wildman-tobriner, Matt Grevers smashed the world record with a time of 3:12.23.
The two-year-old record of 3:12.46 was set by the United States in Victoria, Canada in 2006.
France and Australia finished second and third in the event.
